The Team
Marion Bay Ocean Safari is owned and operated by Ryan and Nadine, the same experienced team who run Reef Encounters Fishing Charters. The company was launched in 2020 to offer unique nature-based tourism experiences, and has since been expanded. With a focus on delivering unforgettable experiences and exceptional customer service, Marion Bay Ocean Safari is the perfect choice for exploring the stunning Southern Yorke Peninsula.
The Boat
The "Vixen" is a 45-foot offshore charter vessel that can accommodate up to 12 passengers. It features a custom fit-out, a walk-in flushing toilet with a hand basin, ample deck space, and comfortable seating with shade cover. We prioritise your safety and maintain the vessel meticulously, with detailed safety procedures in place. This includes passenger briefings, emergency procedures, risk management, and safety equipment.
The Township
Marion Bay is a beach lover's paradise with its stunning coastline perfect for swimming, surfing, and diving. The town also boasts great fishing opportunities, from boats to jetty and shore fishing. It's well-known for big squid off the jetty and the annual mullet run. Marion Bay is also the gateway to Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, offering endless nature-based activities and attractions such as historical sites, ruins, salt lakes, spectacular beaches, maritime and mining history, and shipwrecks.
